Client Spotlight: Caroline Angell

[/ezcol_1third] [ezcol_2third_end] Caroline Angell attended St. Francis Episcopal for middle school, and with help from Excel Educational Consulting, ended up at Houston Christian High School. While at HCHS, Caroline played volleyball her freshman and sophomore years, and then she decided to try out for cheerleader. Caroline was a varsity cheerleader her junior and senior year, and she was elected cheer captain her senior year. Caroline was an active student ambassador, a member of student council, and a transfer student mentor. Caroline’s gift of writing earned her several awards while at HCHS, including the Letters about Literature Writing Award and the We Believe Writing Award. Caroline served as a Spanish tutor to her peers, received the Anatomy and Physiology award her senior year, and was overall an honor roll student. Caroline graduated from Houston Christian High School in 2016 and she currently attends TCU, where she is a pre-med student, majoring in Biology and minoring in Psychology. She is an active member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. [/ezcol_2third_end] [ezcol_1third]

Client Spotlight: Rhett Cardwell

[/ezcol_1third] [ezcol_2third_end] Rhett Cardwell attended middle school at St. Francis Episcopal Day School where he was a top student and three-sport athlete. Rhett also participated in choir and theater productions during all three off his middle school years. Upon graduating from St. Francis in 2012, Rhett attended high school at The Kinkaid School.  While at Kinkaid, Rhett continued to distinguish himself as a three-sport athlete where he was one of the captains of the varsity football and lacrosse teams. He was also elected as a Peer Mentor to work with incoming Freshman.  Rhett participated in Children’s Theater during his Junior and Senior years where he played the lead role in the holiday production of “Elf”.   Children’s Theater provides students with opportunities to mentor younger students at Kinkaid and also bring theater productions to disadvantaged students at schools around the Houston area.  Rhett was also chosen to lead various pep rallies and the annual Field Day event as well as to give speeches at a number of school assemblies and graduation events.  Rhett was honored with The Coskey Award, a full tuition scholarship, which is only given periodically to a rising Senior student who demonstrates leadership in all areas of campus life including academics, the arts and athletics. Upon graduating from Kinkaid in 2016, Rhett decided to remain in Texas for college and is currently attending Rice University where he will continue to play football. [/ezcol_2third_end]

Joseph Ogunro

Joseph Ogunro’s educational journey began at Grace School where he excelled academically and participated in various sports. He ran track and played basketball, developing a strong foundation in athletics. Joseph spent his high school years at Strake Jesuit College Preparatory where he transitioned to tennis. Joseph’s dedication to the sport paid off when he received the Most Improved Player award and won numerous medals from tournaments, showcasing his talent and commitment. His passion extended beyond the court- He became a certified scuba diver after earning an open water diver certificate. During the summer of 2022, Joseph’s interest in medicine led him to attend a prestigious medical camp in Boston at Tufts University, broadening his understanding of the medical field and deepening his commitment to helping others. This commitment is also evident in his volunteer work at Camp Beloved and Beyond, a camp for individuals with disabilities, where he dedicated his time to making a positive impact on the lives of campers. Additionally, Joseph has volunteered at food pantries, further demonstrating his dedication to community service and helping those in need. Currently a sophomore at Baylor University, Joseph is majoring in Pre-Business, where he continues to build on his academic and extracurricular achievements. His aspirations are driven by a strong desire to be successful and to provide for his family. He wants a future where he can afford the freedom to pursue his passions and make a significant impact in his chosen field. With his diverse experiences and strong work ethic, Joseph is sure to be on his way to achieving his goals and making a meaningful difference in the world.
